Easy ways to Begin

Hi! I’m so glad you’re here. My mission is to get more people to take their health into their own hands, to understand the power that we have within all of us. I have seen through personal experience and from those I hold dearest that with health you have endless possibility for your life and without health you find that life is focused solely around getting that health back. ( which doesn’t leave much room for play, joy, excitement wonder and all the goodness that life has to offer)

I want to work with people to prevent their wellness mission from becoming all consuming, but if you’ve found this page and you’re at a place in your life where health has now been forced into focus, well done because just by being here, you’re already setting yourself on the path to healing.

A few action tips you can begin incorporating into your days that can dramatically transform the way you feel:

  1. Drink more water - flush your system, hydrate your cells, you are 70% water and most of us are chronically dehydrated. Would you rather be a juicy plum or a shrivelled prune?

  2. Eat 70% plants- fruits and vegetables should be your life source. Protein and fat is required too, but plants provide huge amounts of your required vitamins, minerals & antioxidants and feed your gut bacteria (in a good way)

  3. Move yo body!! We humans were designed to move a lot. Incorporate movement any way you want to, whatever makes you happy and gets you moving. Do it, do it often and get playful with it. We all know that things starts to degenerate when we don’t use them, your body is the same.

  4. Enjoy more sleep! Ahh sleep, glorious sleep. This is the ONLY time our body gets to truly repair and recover. Quality sleep is fundamental to healing as this is when our immune cells can kill off cancerous cells, rejuvenate our muscle and bone tissue, detoxify our blood and SO MUCH more.

  5. Be around the people that light you up, the ones that give you energy rather than drain it out of you. There is mounting evidence on the importance of relationships for our wellbeing. Be it friends, family, neighbours, colleagues, anyone in your community that makes you feel good. Spend your energy on those people, and try to be present with them. (the chores can wait) We are all human, we came from the same source and we need connection.

I’ll leave you with one of my favourite quotes spoken by the Dalai Lama - I believe he was really onto something here, this quote gets me thinking and I hope you enjoy it too!

The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity answered;

Man… Because he sacrifices his health in order to get money. Then he sacrifices his money to recuperate his health. And then, he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present. The result being, that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die and then dies having never really lived.

Take care out there
